Steven Excel Deaver is the founder of Cathedral Kingdom Living Church and President/CEO of Excel Media and Music Group. Steven’s prophetic gifting and revelatory teaching has served as a rescuing, renewing, reconciling, and resurrecting force to empower the Body of Christ and the common man. Steven is a multi-talented and multi-gifted Servant Leader, Preacher, Certified Trainer and Developer, Life Coach, Psychologist, Educator, Consultant, Adjunct Professor, Author and Songwriter. Steven served as Charter Executive Director of St. Stephen’s Outreach in Brooklyn, New York from 1985 until 1992. He has gone to the foreign mission field of Haiti and has traveled extensively throughout the United States where he and his wife Theresa conducted Shalom Deliverance and Healing Crusades/Conferences, Workshops and Marriage Seminars.

In 2001, he birthed the vision of Gideon’s Torch Inc, which is designed to help women, children and families find sanity, safe haven and shelter from domestic violence and destructive behavioral patterns. Under the umbrella of Gideon’s Torch Inc., the Maggie Bell Deaver Memorial Scholarship Fund has been created to support educational and personal growth opportunities.

Steven Excel holds a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in History Education; he has earned both a M.A. in Behavioral Science specializing in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and a M. Ed in Educational Administration. Professionally, he is a Licensed Clinician in the State of New Jersey and served as an Educational Consultant and Adjunct Professor at Kean University and Essex County College where he taught courses in American Civil Society, U.S. History, Afro –American History, Education, Psychology and Social Problems.

Currently, he serves as a Presbyter and Chief Adjutant under his spiritual father Bishop Donald Hilliard, Jr. Steven and Theresa live in New Jersey and are blessed with six children, three daughters-in-law, two sons-in-law and eleven grandchildren. Steven’s favorite saying is, “Got Problems… Just Worship Jesus the Christ and He will teach you that you are not a Victim, but a Victor”.
